Purist Remarks

1999 release predates restoration, but is soft on detail. The original audio track was a 3.0 track with dialog in all three speakers, while the modern enhanced mix anchors dialog in the center channel.

The movie was produced in both Cinemascope and Academy Ratio (with different animations?). Digital releases claiming to be the latter are just panned and scanned from the former. The 1998 VHS/LD had the Academy Ratio?
